As an unarmed patrol officer in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and foster a secure environment. Your presence and routine patrols will contribute to a sense of reassurance for those at the location. What You'll Do : Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or access. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site. Observe and report incidents, suspicious activity, and / or hazards as they arise during patrols. Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal management, the client, and local authorities when required. Document daily activities and incidents according to site procedures and Allied Universal protocols. Assist visitors and employees with questions and directions as needed while on patrol. Minimum Requirements : Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or license. Must be at least 21 years of age. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and / or baton is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
