Job Description & Requirements Specialty : CCU - Coronary Care Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 11 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours Employment Type : Travel Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care Unit (CCU) Location : Lima, OH Start Date : 11 / 11 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks Shift Details : Type : Nights Hours : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM (12-hour shifts) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Weekends : Every other weekend On Call : None Position Overview The Critical Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive and specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with hospital standards, policies, and best practices. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on clinical judgment and evidence-based practice, ensuring quality outcomes and patient safety in a high-acuity environment. This role requires a strong background in immediate open-heart recovery and the ability to adapt across multiple critical care settings. The RN will collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team while mentoring and supporting LPNs, PCTs, and unit secretaries. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in the Critical Care Unit, including post-open heart recovery and high-acuity medical-surgical cardiac patients. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care. Monitor and interpret hemodynamic, cardiac, and ventilator parameters. Administer medications and therapies safely according to hospital policy and clinical best practice. Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and transitions. Educate patients and families on care, recovery, and post-discharge instructions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system. Float to other critical care units within scope of skill as needed. Submission Requirements Experience : Minimum 1 year of CCU experience — Required Open Heart Recovery : Immediate post-open heart experience required ( 3 years recent preferred ) Certifications : BLS (AHA) — Required ACLS (AHA) — Required NIHSS — Required TNCC — Highly Preferred Floating : Must be willing to float to all units within skill level — Required HumanEdge Travel Healthcare Job ID 13383.
