Job Overview
Our Manufacturing Production Coordinator plays a crucial role in the planning and execution of manufacturing processes. This position requires a blend of shop knowledge, organizational skills, and the ability to organize teams. The primary focus is on coordinating the various components of production, from purchasing and inventory management to ensuring safety protocols are followed. A successful Manufacturing Coordinator ensures that production goals are met on time and within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards.
Manufacturing Coordinator Responsibilities & Duties
- Coordinate production schedules and manufacturing activities
- Manage Purchasing
- Oversee inventory levels and ensure materials are available for production
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve any production issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records
- Ensure timely delivery of finished products
- Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques
- Monitor workflow and adjust schedules as necessary to meet production targets
- Train and supervise production staff
Manufacturing Coordinator Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in any of the following metal manufacturing roles : Coordination role, Inventory control, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Shop Management.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and best practicesFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principlesProficiency in inventory management softwareExcellent problem-solving skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesProject management experienceKnowledge of quality control standardsHigh school diploma or equivalent4-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge of manufacturing safety standardsAcute attention to detailOptimizing efficienciesAbility to work effectively both independently and in a teamTime management skillsProduction schedulingFacilities ManagementCompany Description
