Overview
Technical Resource Engineer at Rinker Materials. This role focuses on promoting new and existing engineering concrete products and building strong relationships with engineers, specifiers, end users, and internal teams. The position observes confidentiality of customer and company information and complies with safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Present project-specific solutions to civil engineering clients and customers, including State DOTs and City / County municipalities.
- Promote engineered precast concrete products to engineers, specifiers, end users, and internal teams with a strategic plan to grow market share.
- Collaborate with DOTs and Local Municipalities / Public Works to improve specifications for storm drain infrastructure.
- Manage Rinker's relationships with industry organizations.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions; establish effective customer relationships.
- Deliver presentations to key engineering entities and trade engineering associations.
- Serve as liaison between engineers and the sales and operations groups.
- Develop market awareness and education of the material specifying process; introduce new products.
- Organize and facilitate Lunch & Learn and Engineering Plant Tour opportunities within the industry.
- Identify and attend trade shows relevant to the designated territory.
- Perform special projects or assignments as directed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.Professional Engineering License preferred (not mandatory).Minimum of 5 years related experience.Enthusiasm and passion for the business and achieving organizational goals.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presenting ability.Exceptional interpersonal and listening skills, with proactive problem solving and sound judgment.Ability to interact effectively with a variety of people and personalities.Strong time management and self-management skills.Organized, detail-oriented approach to work.Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with ERP / database applications.Must have a valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 35% of the time.Benefits
