Job description
Quality Technician | Zeeland, MI Salary Range: $48,000 - $71,000 depending on experience Are you ready to take on a challenging and rewarding opportunity in {{role_field}}? The Opportunity We are working with companies in Zeeland that are adding Quality Technicians to their teams. These organizations value quality over speed in hiring. Key Responsibilities Perform in-process, final, and incoming inspections of manufactured products and components. Utilize various metrology equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, gauges) to verify product specifications. Document inspection results accurately, maintaining detailed quality records and reports. Identify, quarantine, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action requests. Assist in root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventative actions for quality issues. Conduct calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment according to schedule. Support the development and implementation of quality control procedures and work instructions. Recommended Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in a quality control or assurance role within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and GD&T symbols. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and basic quality tools (e.g., SPC). Bonus Qualifications Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Experience operating CMMs or other advanced metrology equipment. Internal auditing experience (e.g., ISO 9001).
