Job description
Engineering Manager | Battle Creek, MI Salary Range: $110,000 - $159,000 depending on experience Are you a dedicated professional with a passion for leading engineering teams and driving technical excellence? The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Battle Creek region seeking Engineering Managers. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians. Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of engineering projects. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing processes and product quality. Manage the engineering budget, resources, and equipment procurement. Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to optimize operational efficiency. Ensure all engineering designs, processes, and equipment comply with safety and regulatory standards. Develop and implement long-term technical strategies and technology roadmaps for the manufacturing facility. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline relevant to manufacturing (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial). Minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma), and quality systems. Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects, including scope, budget, and timeline adherence. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to drive technical solutions and team development. Bonus Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., automation, robotics, Industry 4.0). Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or manufacturing execution systems (MES).
