Real Estate Institutional Fund Group Team Manager
At Regions, the Real Estate Institutional Fund Group (IFG) Team Manager will lead a specialized platform serving institutional clients across private funds, investment managers, and alternative providers. This role combines direct client coverage with team leadership, ensuring best-in-class relationship management, product delivery, and portfolio performance. The role will be responsible for expanding the banks footprint in high-growth, capital-intensive sectors, while developing and managing a team of client managers to deliver tailored financing solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
Client Coverage & Revenue Growth
- Serves as primary relationship manager for a portfolio of top institutional fund clients, maintaining active dialogue with senior executives
- Drives business development in strategic product areas including subscription lines, repo lines, note on note financing and DST facilities
- Offers other bespoke fund-level financing and liquidity solutions that meet evolving investor and sponsor needs
- Partners closely with Capital Markets, Loan Syndications, and other product specialists to deliver comprehensive solutions across debt, treasury, and advisory services
- Achieves annual revenue, loan growth, and non-interest revenue targets through disciplined pipeline management and execution
Team Leadership & Development
Manages, coaches, and develops a team of client managers and associates dedicated to IFGSets clear goals aligned with Real Estate Banking's (REB) strategic plan, emphasizing credit quality, client service, and non-interest revenue growthActs as a role model by balancing direct client engagement with mentoring and supporting direct reports and junior talentFosters a collaborative culture across REB, ensuring strong connectivity with adjacent businesses such as Income Property Finance, REIT Finance, and Affordable HousingRisk Management & Credit Discipline
Oversees portfolio quality with a focus on risk adjusted returns, capital efficiency, and discipline structuringIdentifies emerging risks in fund finance markets and positions the IFG portfolio accordinglyStrategic & Market Leadership
Positions the bank as a preferred partner to institutional real estate funds and alternative capital managersMonitors industry trends and competitor offerings to ensure the bank remains competitive and responsiveProvides thought leadership on evolving product structures and contributes to broader REB strategy, including opportunities in less-regulated, higher-growth investment spacesPartners with senior REB and Corporate Banking leadership to refine go-to-market strategies for institutional clientsThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related fieldFifteen (15) years of experience in commercial real estate banking, fund finance, or related institutional lendingPreferences

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include : experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
Job Range Target :
Minimum : $140,596.00 USD
Median : $300,350.00 USD
Incentive Pay Plans : This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals. Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
