Job description
EHS Manager | Coopersville, MI Salary Range: $78,000 - $123,000 depending on experience Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for workplace safety and environmental compliance? The Opportunity We are partnering with organizations in Coopersville that are seeking EHS Managers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company policies. Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures. Conduct regular EHS risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees, contractors, and visitors. Manage hazardous waste, air emissions, and wastewater discharge permits and compliance. Maintain EHS records, prepare regulatory reports, and monitor key performance indicators. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, or a related scientific field. 5-7 years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations. Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs and management systems. Strong leadership, communication, and training skills to foster a proactive safety culture. Professional EHS certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred. Bonus Qualifications Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or other advanced EHS professional certification. Proficiency with EHS management software (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex) and data analytics for EHS metrics. Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce. Experience implementing Lean principles or continuous improvement methodologies in EHS.
