Job description
Controller | Wyoming, MI Salary Range: $124,000 - $173,000 depending on experience Are you a meticulous professional with a passion for financial leadership and driving business performance? The Opportunity We are partnering with organizations in Wyoming that are seeking Controllers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities Oversee all financial reporting, including month-end close, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. Manage and analyze product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis and explanations. Develop and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies to ensure data integrity and asset protection. Coordinate and manage external audits and ensure compliance with all financial regulations. Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational decision-making and strategic initiatives. Optimize cash flow management and working capital utilization. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA certification preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and variance analysis. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong leadership and team management experience, with excellent communication abilities. Proven ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and drive process improvements. Bonus Qualifications Experience with advanced features or implementation of manufacturing-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365). Proficiency in data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for enhanced financial analysis and reporting. Certification or experience in Lean Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement and cost reduction. Demonstrated success in leading cost accounting optimization projects or inventory management improvements.
