Job description
EHS Manager | Byron Center, MI Salary Range: $83,000 - $128,000 depending on experience Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for workplace safety and environmental compliance? We are collaborating with leading companies in Byron Center seeking EHS Managers to lead and enhance their operations. The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Byron Center seeking EHS Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company policies. Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures. Conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement preventative measures. Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for all employees. Manage hazardous waste streams and ensure proper disposal in accordance with environmental regulations. Promote and foster a strong safety culture throughout the manufacturing facility. Prepare and submit all required EHS reports to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment. Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations. Proven experience developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and implement effective corrective actions. Strong leadership, communication, and training skills to foster a proactive safety culture. Bonus Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification. Experience with EHS management software implementation or administration. Proficiency in a second language relevant to the local workforce. Knowledge of sustainability principles and ESG reporting frameworks.
