Quality Engineer | Norton Shores, MI Salary Range: $67,000 - $101,000 depending on experience Are you a dedicated professional with a passion for ensuring product excellence and driving quality improvements? The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Norton Shores region seeking Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans and procedures. Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformances, internal defects, and customer complaints, driving corrective actions. Monitor manufacturing processes using statistical methods to identify and resolve quality issues. Lead and participate in internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100). Collaborate with design and production teams to establish quality requirements for new products and processes. Manage supplier quality performance, including audits and incoming material inspections. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools like FMEA, SPC, and 8D methodology. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis. Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems; IATF 16949 or AS9100 experience is a plus. Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T. Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab) for process improvement and data interpretation. Bonus Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP). Experience conducting internal or supplier audits (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100). Familiarity with CAD software for design review and analysis.
