T-Certified Nursing Assistant Geriatrics

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate T-Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with experience in geriatrics to join our team.
As a T-CNA specializing in geriatrics at NCG Associates, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care to elderly patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist in activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide emotional support and companionship to geriatric patients
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques and equipment
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with feeding and medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Implement and maintain patient care plans
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner
- Observe and report any changes in patients' condition to the nurse
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and individualized care
Requirements
- Valid certification as a T-Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Previous experience in a geriatric care setting
- Knowledge and understanding of geriatric care principles and practices
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards elderly patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time
- Physical endurance and ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)

Location : Burlington, VT
Pay Rate : $862.50-$937.50 Weekly depending on your experience
Class / Area : CNA / GERI
Desired Start Date : ASAP
Length of Assignment : 8 wks
Hours per Week : 37.5
Shift and Time : 5X8, Varied
Schedule Details : Full Time
Weekend Rotation : Every other weekend
On-call Requirements : No
Holidays Requirements : As scheduled
Floating Requirements : Must float to similar units
Experience Required : 12 months experience in last 18 months Experience Preferred : PCC Charting
License Required : VT State License
Certificates Required : BLS
