Job Description:

• This position is for a Project Manager on the Release Management Team and requires managing in a highly matrixed organization to support quarterly and monthly releases.
• This position is both inward and outward facing and requires a candidate to be detail-oriented and comfortable working with multiple external clients and internal stakeholders.
• This requires the ability to convey timely, consistent, and meaningful information and to appropriately adjust communication style and method based on audience.
• This role involves effective use of listening skills, ensures that information is understood by the intended audience, takes detailed notes, and habitually sends out meeting minutes.
• Success in this role would mean managing releases by collaborating with a multitude of teams and reaching consensus in the creation of the deployment schedules, meeting all internal and external milestones, and understanding the interdependency between implementation tasks.

Purpose:

• Sr. IT Project Manager, leads, plans, executes, monitors, controls and closes projects for the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).
• This role oversees and directs complex $M enterprise-wide corporate initiatives involving - stakeholder groups across several organizational work streams utilizing Agile methodology to deliver results.

Essential functions:

• % Actively plans and manages large scale Waterfall or Agile projects holistically around scheduled program increments and milestones, scope, cost, resource health and risks while collaborating with stakeholders in key meetings resulting in successful project delivery.
• % Plans and owns project finances which includes timing implications and key payment dates while proactively reporting status, scorecard creation and fulfilling project analysis requests by using critical and creative thinking.
• % Leads and contributes to vendor selection and procurement activities under program manager guidance while identifying, producing and fulfilling resource and go-live operational plans to ensure project success.
• % Prepares key documents, present business cases and produces other reports as needed while collaborating with stakeholders to bring projects through project funding conversations and initiation ceremonies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong Financial Management ability including comprehension of project financials, profit and loss and the ability to create and manage and adhere to a broader project budget., Advanced.
• Strong Communication skills both written and verbal, Advanced.
• Ability to successfully lead in a matrixed environment, Advanced.

• Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time.
• Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence.
• Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.

Education Level:

• Bachelor's Degree.

Education Details:

• Health Informatics, Information Technology, Information Systems or related discipline.

Experience:

• years' experience leading projects in a cross-functional, technical systems implementation.

In Lieu of Education:

• In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an additional years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI – Optional.
• SAFe Scrum Master Certification- Optional.
