Rate Range : $110,000 / YR to $160,000 / YR; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Description : Responsibilities
- Generate PCB CAD layout design data to meet product requirements.
- Check completed layouts and drawings to clarify completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, manufacturability, and accuracy of calculations and dimensions.
- Conduct comprehensive design reviews with engineering teams and manufacturing partners to confirm completion of engineering, cost, and manufacturability requirements.
- Plan and execute PCB design project tasks according to project and / or program schedules.
- Participate in PCB / PCBA product failure evaluations, analysis and provide recommendations to improve PCB testability, reliability, robustness and address components and material obsolescence.
- Release and update Bills of Material, technical drawings, and PCB CAD design data into the Thales configuration document control system (Team Center) to meet Quality Assurance conformity standards and to maintain production configuration control.
- Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal hardware design.
- Avionics— mainly, the navigation and communication systems that provide critical flight data to the pilot, similar to the role of an infotainment or GPS system in a vehicle.
Top Requirements
Education : Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering strongly preferred.Experience
4 - 10 years of hands-on electrical engineering, especially complex PCB design.Must have worked on multi-board layouts (4–20 layers).Strong proficiency in digital, RF, CPU, memory, storage, and analog / digital signal design.Processing speeds : Familiar with systems up to 2GHz.Minimum Qualifications
Software : Must be proficient in Altium (PCB layout) and LabVIEW (test & automation).Certifications & Standards : Experience with DO-254 (design assurance for airborne electronics), Experience with DO-160 (environmental testing for avionics)Knowledge of FAA certification processes a big plusSeniorities & Employment
