Description
The Department of Mental Health is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to provide clerical support to the Quality Improvement Department. The selected candidate must be flexible, dependable, and interact well with professional staff, clerical support staff and patients.
Please Note: This position is full time, 37.5 hours per week 8:00am-4:00pm. Days off are Saturday and Sunday
Duties and Responsibilities (these are a general summary and are not all inclusive):
·Enters patient data received from multiple sources into the Meditech system as required.
·Identifies missing or inaccurate patient information, enters data corrections into DPH Meditech system
·Collects and organizes Incident reports for input into the RL6/Datix system and ensures distribution to appropriate parties.
·Takes minutes at Committee meetings and other meetings assigned for RISK, and CRC. Types and distributes minutes accordingly.
·Receives daily census from units, identify errors, and facilitates corrections to ensure agreement between electronic and paper versions of any report.
·Act as a contact person for other departments requesting information, training or reports related to the DPH Meditech system and Incident Report database.
·Shreds all outdated information to maintain confidentiality.
·Enter Restraint and Seclusion information into multiple databases.
·Receives and enters information related to the Patient Satisfaction survey and coordinates the distribution of the survey to appropriate parties.
·Assists the Director of Quality Improvement with data gathering for QI functions such as satisfaction survey preparation, coordination and administration of surveys, and generating reports from survey data.
·Coordinates ordering and distributing supplies for QI Department.
·Performs other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
·Knowledge of the English language, including spelling, word meaning and word usage.
·Ability to understand and apply the laws, rules, policies and procedures governing assigned activities.
·Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
·Ability to work accurately with names, numbers, codes and/or symbols.
·Ability to maintain accurate records.
·Ability to exercise sound judgement and interact appropriately with multi-disciplinary staff.
·Skills in operating general office machines and equipment, such as copiers, fax machine, and computers.
·Knowledge of clerical office practices and procedures including office record keeping, office equipment and supplies, and business letter preparation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the aptitude to work independently and collaborate with multiple staff.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Given the population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency
