The Role

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead VWI Process Improvement Projects: Develop and execute process improvement projects across CVN, leveraging expertise in lean principles, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall performance.
• Performance Metrics and KPI Analysis: Gather, analyze, and present data on key performance metrics and KPIs, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions and optimize operations.
• Value Stream Level Conversations: Facilitate collaborative discussions with other departments to identify opportunities for improvement, align processes, and implement changes that enhance the overall value stream.
• Senior Leadership Representation: Attend and present in senior leadership meetings on behalf of E92, providing updates on project progress, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: Developing and maintaining project plans (POAMs), schedules, and budgets (cost analysis) Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet expectations Identifying and mitigating risks, issues, and dependencies Collaborating with team members to share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned

Must Have Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice to Have Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in data analysis and interpretation Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels Proven ability to lead and facilitate collaborative teams, with strong stakeholder management skills Strong knowledge of lean principles, process improvement methodologies, and project management best practices Proficiency in MS Office, with expertise in Excel and PowerPoint
