Finance Sr Specialist

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider of ordnance weapons and tactical systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations, has an opening for an onsite Finance Sr Specialist to join our Red Lion, PA commercial team.

Performs a variety of financial activities, including accounting, financial analysis, audit, tax, credit and collections. Develops and evaluates financial plans and policies. Establishes and maintains accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.

Major Position Responsibilities

1. Manages multiple financial functions in an organization
2. Establishes internal controls for monitoring assets, capital investments, controlling costs, and measuring liquidity
3. Liaisons with senior leadership from accounting on matters of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
4. May summarize the financial status of the organization; interprets asset ratios, break-even analysis reports, profit margins, operating costs, stock value (if applicable), and other metrics used in measuring fiscal stability
5. Communicates with operations, marketing, HR, IT, and other departments on matters of internal controls and/or budget approval and ROI for specific projects
6. Prepares for audits and makes certain that financial reporting is completed properly, and that all documentation follows applicable regulations (including GAAP, FASB, or SEC mandates)

Basic Qualifications

• Associates Degree OR equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
• 5-7 years prior experience in a similar position

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting
• Knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), GAAP standards
• Knowledge of financial management principles, program planning, budgeting and practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment
• Data Science or Data Analytics tools
• Experience and use of IFS software
