Job Title: Radiology Tech - Interventional Radiology Profession: Radiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience required; 1 year of experience accepted with neuro and scrub experience License: Must have a valid license upon submission Certifications: ACLS, ARRT R, ARRT VI, BLS Must-Have: On call required with a 30-minute response time Scrub experience required Travel experience required Neuro IR experience is a plus but not required Description: Travelers should be aware that upon accepting an assignment and starting their role, the unit manager may assign them to an "Emergency Team." There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after any emergency event passes or to be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be provided for each emergency event, as impacts may vary. By signing the travel contract to take this position, candidates accept the above terms and will report as assigned by their immediate unit manager if an emergency event were to occur. Candidates should apply only if they are comfortable with these requirements. Skills in accessing/managing ports, accurate monitoring, and performing various angiographic procedures are required. Experience in fluoroscopy and maintaining sterile fields is essential. Familiarity with various interventional procedures, such as embolization, stent placement, and biopsies, is advantageous. Candidates should be prepared for a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, and geriatrics. The unit handles a daily census of around 30 patients, utilizing specialized equipment for various procedures. Travelers must comply with unit policies regarding call and weekend coverage. Candidates must ensure proper certifications are maintained and up to date. References may be requested as part of the clearance process before starting the contract. This position requires adherence to all professional guidelines and facility expectations.
