An organization based in the North Central San Antonio area is seeking an Accountant to join its corporate team. This position is newly established and offers the opportunity to play a key role in supporting financial operations across multiple business levels. The role is designed for a hands-on professional who can contribute across accounting functions, support reporting needs, and help drive process enhancements within a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Produce comprehensive financial and operational reports across a layered organizational structure
Develop and deliver tailored financial and analytical reporting packages for an international parent entity
Maintain adherence to established reporting timelines and corporate submission requirements
Perform on-demand financial analysis and reporting as business needs arise
Support the preparation of audited financial statements, including related disclosures
Coordinate audit activities with external auditors and interact with relevant regulatory bodies
Leverage financial systems and data tools to extract, interpret, and present business information
Oversee general ledger functions and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
Potentially lead, mentor, and develop a small accounting staff
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or an advanced accounting-related degree
Background in public accounting, particularly audit and financial reporting, is a plus
Demonstrated ability to work with large data sets and enterprise systems, including ERP platforms and reporting tools (e.g., Oracle, Excel-based reporting solutions)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Effective written and verbal communication capabilities
Collaborative mindset with a focus on achieving team and organizational objectives
Willingness to travel up to approximately 25%
