This position is located at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California.
This position serves as a key member in the management team at Riverside National Cemetery and works closely with the Executive Director, Deputy Director, Assistant Directors, and other key personnel in the formulation of projects, reports, strategic plans, resource utilization, needs assessments and assigned administrative activities. Reviews, analyzes and evaluates reports and statistics to advice on trends, out of line situations, and anticipate needs. Requires skill in preparing project presentations, papers, and staff reports and skill in organizing and delivering briefings to the RNC Cemetery Directors and Pacific District Directors to encourage understand and acceptance of findings and recommendations. Analyzes survey results for cemetery trends and assists with development of recommendations for implementation with cemetery action plans. Prepares or reviews all standard operating procedures regarding all aspects of cemetery operations for signature or concurrence of the Executive Director and/or Deputy Director. Assist with managing the Executive Directors' calendar, scheduling appointments, meeting, and travel arrangements. Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 04/13/2026. Must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-11 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: managing a broad range of administrative and operational programs, projects and services, adherence to requirements, and oversight/improvement of programs, policies, and procedures.
