IMPACT Therapy, LLC: Who We Are

At IMPACT Therapy, we offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, music therapy, art therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis. On our campus, you will also find IMPACT Academy and IMPACT Preschool. Our academy serves children with special needs from Kindergarten through 12thgrade (22 years old). Our preschool is inclusive, serving children 6 weeks through 5 years old. IMPACT Tallahassee is the only comprehensive pediatric facility in the region! Our interdisciplinary approach allows children the opportunity to develop and enhance developmental skills through a play-based approach while working with their therapist in their natural environment. This could include their classroom on our campus, the therapy clinic, their rehabilitation therapy sessions, or their personal home or school. As a team, the BCBAs collaborate with families, teachers, and other providing therapists to ensure that developing skills are carried over into their natural environments into a variety of settings.

What does a Speech Language Pathologist do?

As a Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist at IMPACT Therapy, LLC, you will engage in a variety of fulfilling daily activities. Your primary responsibility will be to assess and diagnose communication disorders in clients of all ages. You will develop and implement personalized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based strategies to encourage progress in speech and language skills. Collaboration is key, so you will work closely with other healthcare professionals and team members to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Daily documentation of progress will be essential, along with maintaining a trusting relationship with clients and their families. Preparing engaging activities and materials will keep sessions dynamic and client-focused. You will also participate in continuous professional development opportunities, contributing to an energetic and collaborative team culture.
