Escrow Assistant Opportunity

The Escrow Assistant will be responsible for below specific duties:
- Prepares HUD statements disclosing title/settlement fees, taxes, and payoffs for closing costs and sends to processor (may include mock CD).
- Reviews title commitments to verify vesting and legal descriptions under supervision of Escrow Officer/Lead.
- Draws loan documents including escrow/settlement instructions, payoffs, deeds, and schedules notary or attorney as required.
- Reviews executed documents returned from notary and uploads scanned packages into the system.
- Reviews recording documents ensuring all originals, affidavits, death certificates, and required documents are included.
- Assists with auditing final numbers, verifying demands, liens validity, and wire instructions.
- Tracks lender funding to ensure funds are received and ready for disbursement.
- Coordinates with Audit/Disbursing Department for file disbursement.
- Sends notification to clients once funds are disbursed.
Required qualifications for the position include:
- High school diploma required.
- 13 years of escrow or related experience.
- Knowledge of escrow processes, title commitments, and closing procedures.
- Ability to review and manage legal and financial documents accurately.
Pay Rate Range: $26.36 - $28.39 per hour Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
