Job description
Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer, Water Treatment SystemsWhat your day could look like

You start your morning syncing with mechanical engineering and project managers on a services engagement. By mid-morning, you’re shaping the plant’s control philosophy, building sequence charts, and translating the control narrative into PLC code. After lunch, you refine single-line diagrams and panel schematics in AutoCAD, review I/O lists and network architecture, and consult on EC&I standards for a standard product line. You wrap the day preparing for a commissioning visit, validating test plans, and updating the team on scope, budget, schedule, and risk.

About Veolia Water Technologies

Veolia Group is a global leader in environmental services with nearly 218,000 employees across five continents. • Read and apply engineering documents (P&IDs, GAs, process design guidelines, electrical schematics, I/O and instrument/valve lists, and best-practice guides).
  • Interpret contracts and customer specifications; provide comments and alignment for compliance.
  • Support EC&I (Electrical Control & Instrumentation) aspects of standard products.
  • Assist with commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and production facility support.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget; surface and communicate risks and opportunities.
  • Engage in cross-functional teamwork and participate in client discussions.

  • Expertise in control systems, PLCs, HMI, SCADA, and programming.
  • Experience programing Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc, Wonderware, Siemens and/ or other common platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment and processes related to Veolia WTS Services systems.
  • Comfort in industrial/manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% and live near a major airport.
