To support health plan audits, the full-time State Licensed Release of Information Specialist will process medical record requests with precision and compliance, utilizing electronic medical record systems while working remotely. Key responsibilities Process medical ROI requests quickly and accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations Utilize software applications to manage and track medical records across multiple EMR systems Provide coaching and guidance to team members to ensure adherence to best practices and compliance standards Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred 5+ years of experience in medical records, Release of Information (ROI), or Health Information Management (HIM) Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations related to the release of protected health information RHIT certification preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable navigating multiple EMR systems
