Job Title Travel Occupational Therapist Job Summary This is a travel assignment for a clinically compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) at a large, dynamic Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) located in Salinas, Monterey County, California. The facility is dedicated to providing comprehensive rehabilitative care to its patient population. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and treating SNF patients, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes, and maintaining meticulous documentation according to facility standards. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for skilled nursing facility patients. Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions to restore function, reduce disability, and prevent further decline. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care. Complete accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of patient assessments, progress, and discharge planning in the electronic health record system (e.g., Net Health). May be required to float to a designated sister facility within walking distance to support patient care needs. Required Qualifications Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program. New graduates are welcome to apply; mentorship opportunities are available. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. Skills & Competencies Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills relevant to the SNF patient population. Excellent documentation skills, with attention to detail and compliance. Shift Details Shift Type: AM Shift Duration: 12 hours per shift Days per Week: 3 days Preferred Schedule: Candidates may express a preference for a Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday schedule. Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: April 27, 2026 Call Requirements: Not specified. Weekend Rotations: Expected as part of the preferred schedule options.
