Junior Project Scheduler

TerraPower is seeking a Project Scheduler to support planning, scheduling, cost tracking, status reporting, schedule analysis, project performance reporting, and baseline change control for projects across the company. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel, Jira, and Confluence.

The Project Scheduler will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, group leads, system leads, and other stakeholders to support the assigned project area. The candidate should be able to manage multiple tasks, update and maintain schedules, integrate subcontractor inputs, follow up on action items, and support reporting of schedule trends and metrics. This role will be onsite three days per week at the Bellevue office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules in P6.
  • Update schedules regularly and support weekly progress reporting and publication of schedule layouts.
  • Identify and communicate variances from the plan and weekly baseline snapshots.
  • Evaluate schedule progress and performance and identify emerging issues.
  • Process project change notices into the P6 baseline and active schedule.
  • Support critical path analysis and assess impacts of progress or changes to key milestones.
  • Assist with P6 administration tasks, including maintaining EPPM data, global code fields, baseline copies, and data interfaces.
  • Support project review meetings and planning sessions; collaborate with project team members.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of schedule controls metrics and performance indicators.
  • Apply EVMS principles and project management best practices while supporting project managers and group leads.
  • Assist in preparing monthly project status reports covering scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
  • Support development and maintenance of resource loaded schedules.
  • Provide regular schedule updates and progress reporting.
  • Support project specific processes and process improvement initiatives.

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related technical field preferred.
  • PMP, PMI SP, or AACE certification is a plus.
  • 35 years of project scheduling experience, preferably in engineering, construction, R&D, or DOE related environments.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with MS Excel; familiarity with Power BI or other analytics tools is a plus.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira) is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated integrity, openness, respect, and commitment to teamwork.
  • Actual starting level and title will be based on assessment of qualifications

Job Functions:

Salary Range: $87,686 - $131,529

* We typically place offers in the lower to middle portion of the range to maintain internal equity and allow room for growth. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual's qualifications experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
