About the Role
The Company is seeking a General Manager/Chief Operating Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a servant's heart, dedicated to providing exceptional service and leading a high-performing team. This role is pivotal in managing all aspects of the club's operations, from developing and executing strategic plans to ensure the club's premier status, to being actively involved in membership marketing efforts. The GM/COO will be responsible for the financial health of the club, including budgeting, and will be expected to have a proven track record in driving targeted membership growth while maintaining the club's positioning and member experience. Candidates for the GM/COO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' progressive leadership experience in a private member-owned club or high-end resort operation. A strong background in financial management, particularly with P&L responsibility, is essential. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver, a natural mentor, and a culture builder, with a focus on continuous evolution to excellence. Educational qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and professional certifications such as CCM or PGA Executive Management are preferred. The role requires a highly collaborative, transparent, and engaging leader who can effectively communicate with all stakeholders and is committed to the club's vision and values.
