THIS ROLE REQUIRES ONSITE WORK AT 1 OR MORE OF OUR 20+ CLINICS IN SOUTH LA. WORK SCHEDULE IS MONDAYS, TUESDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, THURSDAYS, AND SATURDAYS.
Might consider every other Saturday for the right candidate (4 day 1 week, 5 days the next). Relocation assistance provided for those motivated to relocate (more than 50 miles away).

KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Family Medicine Physician (for FQHC) : CA medical license / DEA / board certified w / no malpractice claims, recent grads welcome The mission is to provide medical, dental and mental health services to underserved and uninsured persons in South Los Angeles through working at our Federally Qualified Healthcare Clinics. Responsibilities :
- Provides comprehensive medical services for members of family, regardless of age or sex within scope of training.
- Services include : Preventative care, immunizations, primary care and treatment, health education, Prescribing of medications, ordering and interpreting lab testing, physical examinations, STD screenings, Vision / hearing, women's health, family planning, prenatal services, nutrition
- Reviews patient file / record, including allergies, problems, medications and immunization status.
- Elicits and records information about patient's medical history.
- Perform appropriate physical exams.
- Orders or executes various tests, analyses and diagnostic imaging as needed given patient presentation.
- Analyzes results and examine findings to make appropriate diagnoses.
- Administers or prescribes treatments.
- If required, prescribes medication, determining dosage and schedule given the patient's condition and allergies.
- Discusses any possible side effects to medication or immunization with patient.
- Prescribes vaccinations to immunize patient from communicable diseases.
- Promotes health by advising patients about diet, hygiene and methods for prevention of disease.
- Provides prenatal care to pregnant women. Provides postnatal care to mothers and infants.
- Performs procedures commensurate with training.
- Refers patients to medical specialist for consultant services when appropriate.
- Documents the patient's visit including medical history, physical exam, diagnoses and plan of action.
- Follows up with patient regarding progress in high risk or emergency cases.
- Conducts physical examinations to provide information needed for admission to school, consideration for jobs, or eligibility for insurance coverage.
- Administer Family Planning services in compliance with Title X rules and regulations / protocols.
- Helps provide triage services and treatment services during disaster, per protocol.
- Physician goals : see 22 patients per day subject to clinic goals.
- Provide a proportionate share of daily supervision and be able to act as mentor to NP / PA, other providers, triage nurse and support to other physicians
- May be asked to provide training to resident physicians or physician extender students.
- Participate in proctoring of new hire and newly graduated providers.
- Provider may be used in a variety of locations depending upon the need of the organization.
- Occasional evening and Saturday shifts.
- No hospital call or rounds.
- Available to travel to clinics upon short notice upon urgent situations to serve our patients.
- Physician schedule : work twenty-six Saturday's per year to provide coverage and subject to clinic goals.
- Physicians work some late shifts (11am-7 : 30pm) and every other Saturday.
Education & Experience
- Medical Degree (MD, DO)
- CA Medical License, DEA Certificate
- BLS certified
- Board certified in Family Medicine or board eligible if within three year of residency training
- Family medicine residency completion preferred, but would consider someone graduating from residency soon
- HIV certified (optional)
- Familiar with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Basic computer skills
- Employees are responsible for maintaining individual certifications and licensures as required by job function or by law and provide verification when recertification occurs.
Compensation depends on experience but is typically $200-285K; however, we are targeting hiring someone at $260K to afford room for growth / merit increases. Sign on bonus available.
