The Catawba Island Club, a private resort-style club located on the shores of Lake Erie, is seeking a professional and courteous Seasonal Front Gate Attendant for the boating season. This highly visible role serves as the first point of contact for members, guests, employees, and vendors and plays a key role in maintaining the Club's secure and welcoming environment.
The position is seasonal, typically from May to October, with primary work schedules on Thursdays through Sundays and during summer holidays. The role reports to the Club Manager or Operations Manager.
Key responsibilities include monitoring vehicle and pedestrian traffic, verifying member credentials and guest lists, providing directions and general Club information, communicating arrivals and concerns to Club staff, enforcing Club access rules, monitoring gate areas for safety, and maintaining a clean and organized gatehouse area.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, prior hospitality, customer service, private club, or security experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, professional appearance and demeanor, and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
Compensation and benefits include competitive seasonal hourly wages, uniforms provided, discounted meals, and the opportunity for rehire in future seasons based on performance.
