Job Summary
The Lead Registered Diagnostic Sonographer performs general ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to abdominal, small parts (including breast), and obstetrical, to adult and pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and / or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders, and assist with needle procedures (i.
e., biopsies, drainages, needle placements, etc.). May also perform limited vascular procedures. Under the direction of leadership;
plans, directs, and coordinates activities of a unit.
Job Responsibilities
Plans, directs, and coordinates activates of unit.
Performs ultrasound imaging examinations.
Performs studies independently and portable exams as required by the work area.
Maintains equipment and supplies.
Ensures proper documentation of procedures.
Collaborates with Radiologist and medical staff for diagnosis.

Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
Oversee department’s quality of exams.
Assist with training of staff and students.
Assist with ACR accreditation process.
Minimum Qualifications
Degree : High School Diploma or GED
Experience : 2-6 Years
Supervisor Experience : None Required
License / Certifications : 2 Credentials or 3 Applicable Certifications
Preferred Qualifications
Degree : Associate Degree Sonography

NO Call during evening, nights, or weekends.
