Senior Quality Analyst

Job Description

CSCI Consulting is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to support our client. In this role, the consultant will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing quality assurance testing procedures to ensure the quality and compliance of information technology work products. The Quality Assurance Analyst will report to the QA Manager and work closely with internal teams and external service providers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and both manual and automated test scripts, including user interface, functional, system, integration, performance, and adhoc testing
• Execute regression, functional, and data testing to validate system behavior and data integrity
• Perform requirements reviews to ensure adequate test coverage across applications
• Document and maintain quality assurance standards, processes, and practices
• Conduct software compatibility testing across programs, hardware, operating systems, and network environments
• Manually test new software to ensure functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications are met
  Identify, report, track, and manage defects through resolution
• Interface with external technology service providers as needed to support quality assurance activities

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5+ years of software quality assurance experience
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and the role of quality assurance within the development process
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team while following established instructions and procedures
• Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
• Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional presence

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of SQL Plus for identifying and validating test data
• Experience testing web services using SOAPUI or similar tools
• Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
• Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
• Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
• Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
• Past experience working with a state/local government agency
