Position Summary :
Reporting to the Clinical Director and ENT Providers, the Nurse Practitioner will deliver direct patient care to both pediatric and adult patients.
Collaborating closely with the Executive Director and clinic support staff, the Nurse Practitioner will conduct physical exams, review medical histories, devise patient care plans, administer diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and interpret lab, x-ray, and test results.

Responsibilities :
- Administer specialized ear, nose, and throat care to patients.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and develop personalized treatment strategies.
- Perform minor in-office procedures such as nasal endoscopies, cerumen impaction removal, epistaxis control, foreign body removal, and post-operative care.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care coordination.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and offer pre / post-surgical guidance and education to patients and their families.
- Utilize the electronic medical record system (Modernizing Medicine) to document patient encounters and manage patient data.
- Prescribe medications following established standards and guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience :
- Proficiency in computer-based data management programs, information systems, and medical records.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills when interacting with various stakeholders including patients, family members, physicians, and community representatives.
- Comprehensive understanding of federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Previous experience providing primary care as a nurse practitioner.
- Familiarity with disease prevention methodologies.
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required :
- Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Valid RN licensure from the State of California and board certification by either ANCC or AANP.
- Prescriptive authorization is required.
- APN authorization in California to practice in Family Health by the Board of Nurse Examiners.
Minimum Experience required :
Minimum of 1 year of experience in primary care or ENT.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions :
The physical demands and working environment described involve desk and computer work, patient interaction, and coordination with staff and physicians.
The role may entail travel between assigned facilities and community locations, with potential attendance at Corporate meetings.
The work environment typically resembles that of a healthcare facility with controlled air temperature and moderate noise levels, and there may be exposure to infectious materials and diseases.
