Business Intelligence Analyst

General Responsibilities:

• The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for developing and providing detailed analysis from multiple data sources for functional areas of the business in a way to help facilitate informed decision making

• Uses advanced analytic skills and knowledge of multiple liquor categories (e.g., tequila, whiskey, vodka, etc.) to provide credible, action-oriented analysis and recommendations to management

• Discovers new ways of using information to impact business decisions and results

• Works cross-functionally with leaders to understand and lead in the development of reporting and visualization of business data and metrics to allow leaders to align and track against overall business strategies, goals and objectives

Job Responsibilities:

• Be a part of the core Implementation team for a NetSuite roll out, which includes NetSuite ERP, NetSuite Planning and Budgeting, and NetSuite Analytics Warehouse; ensure seamless data migration, data mapping, process mapping, and organizational alignment to drive operational efficiency and develop standard operation procedures.

• Thrive in a collaborative team environment that focuses mainly on data

• Complete complex analysis by joining multiple data sets together

• Develops operational, analytical and strategic reporting solutions through effective visualizations and storytelling

• Develops actionable insights and recommendations to upper management for the current business operations

• Meet with key stakeholders to understand the need for reporting tools to drive efficiency and add value

• Review and analyze data looking for patterns and inconsistencies

• Other duties may exist

Experience & Requirements:

• 5+ years of direct experience as a data analyst, preferably in a retail environment

• Technical expertise in the following areas is required:

o SQL (T-SQL/SQL Server)

o Coding in Python – be comfortable working with pandas library

o Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query and Power Pivot

o Experience with data visualization tools

o Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP platform

• Technical expertise in the following areas is preferred:

o Sybase ASE

o Time Series Forecasting and Regression Analysis

o Experience with EDI documents and processes

o Experience with AI assistants such as Claude

• Strong focus on data validation and accuracy

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills to manage complex information

• Ability to work effectively and efficiently

• Adaptable to change and able to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong verbal and written communication

• Strong presentation skills; Ability to successfully communicate with and influence upper-level management

• Ability to produce tracking reports that make an impact on management decisions and business results

• Ability to manage large-scale projects from conception to implementation

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with exceptional attention to detail
