Position Summary

If yes, then we want to hear from you! Southland Industries is seeking an out-going, energetic and detail-oriented individual to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. This is a part time position with the hours of 11am - 4pm. This is a temp to hire role that will have review for conversion to regular full time at the 6 months mark.

Position Details

• Answer phones, messages, order supplies, distribute mail.
• Process packages, UPS, FedEx, CA Overnight.
• Customer service
• Help Office manager with events organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance.
• Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification
