We are looking for a Production Systems Engineer who is passionate about finding solutions to complex problems. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the business continues to operate by troubleshooting application or data issues, identifying and filling gaps in documentation, and working closely with product teams to identify long term, self‑service solutions for frequently encountered requests.

Start Date: Approximately May 1, 2026.
Duration: Initial 12‑month contract with the potential for renewal.
Time Zone: We prefer to prioritize candidates in Latin America to ensure time zone alignment with our East Coast and Mountain region operations.
MAIN REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in software development, software testing experience, or production support.
- 8+ years of hands‑on SQL (MSSQL experience is a plus, but other dialects are acceptable).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with non‑technical audiences. English fluency is required.
GOOD TO HAVE:
- Self‑starter with a willingness and ability to fully own functional areas with minimal supervision.
- Ability to adapt and strong eagerness to learn new technology or techniques.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, mathematics or related area.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analytical and curious; often we face obscure or undocumented issues. You must have the drive to find the root cause of an issue and understand its implications in an increasingly complex environment.
- Monitor support channels including Slack, Email, Jira as well as tools like Datadog and Kibana to identify issues before they are raised by internal or external stakeholders.
- Proactively identify, investigate, and pinpoint the root cause of data discrepancies, processing failures, and system issues within our code and data environments, as well as architect and propose permanent solutions.
- A drive to fill gaps in documentation and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with product teams to provide long‑term, root‑cause, or self‑service fixes for issues that we regularly encounter.
- Regular communication with business partners, both internal and external, who report issues.
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple threads of work.
- Validation of solutions and follow through with long‑term solutions.
