Join our talented team at River Bend Assisted Living as a Van Driver / Maintenance Worker ! Our riverfront community located just east of downtown Rochester offers picturesque views and access to the Zumbro River walking path.

Staff enjoy the convenience of being located near restaurants, shopping, pharmacies, health care providers, and the renowned Mayo Clinic.

In this important role, you will transport residents to grocery stores, restaurants, and community outings. You will also assist the maintenance department to help maintain our beautiful campus.

This is a Part-Time position working a varied schedule. Hours : 7 : 30 am to 4 : 00 pm. Pay : $12.50 / hour

Van Driver / Maintenance Worker responsibilities :

• Drive the van for schedule resident and employee outings.
• Complete proper documentation for MnDOT including daily logs and quarterly reports.
• Track and schedule maintenance for the bus.
• Complete daily upkeep for the bus including filling up gas, washer fluid, etc.
• Respond to various maintenance requests by residents and staff.
• Collect and dispose of garbage at our campus.
• Complete lawn care and snow removal as needed.
• Complete additional tasks as requested.

Van Driver / Maintenance Worker skills and requirements :

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Must pass the MnDOT physical examination and a criminal background check.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience working with people with memory loss and physical disabilities is desired.
• Friendly, outgoing and positive personality.
