OVERVIEW
The Training & Safety Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining training programs and safety standards within a distribution facility. This role ensures all associates are properly trained on operational processes, equipment, and company policies while maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment. The Training & Safety Supervisor partners closely with operations leadership to establish standardized procedures, deliver training programs, and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Champion the company’s mission, vision, values, and brand in every decision and interaction.
• Develop and maintain training programs across warehouse functions, including inbound, outbound, inventory, and equipment operations.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
• Lead onboarding and ongoing training to ensure associates are prepared and able to perform at a high level.
• Partner with operations leadership to identify training gaps and continuously improve training materials and delivery.
• Deliver hands-on training and coaching in the operational environment to reinforce learning and performance.
• Ensure safety programs, policies, and procedures are fully implemented and consistently followed.
• Lead safety training, audits, and inspections to maintain compliance and reduce risk.
• Track and report training completion, safety incidents, and compliance metrics.
• Investigate incidents, support corrective actions, and implement preventative measures.
• Maintain accurate training records, certifications, and compliance documentation.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and safety awareness.
• Collaborate with HR and operations leadership to align training initiatives and support workforce development.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• 3+ years of experience in training, safety, or warehouse/fulfillment operations.
• Experience developing training programs, SOPs, and instructional materials.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards and practices (OSHA familiarity preferred).
• Ability to train and engage associates in a hands-on operational environment.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and training documentation tools.
• Ability to work flexible schedules as needed to support operational training needs.
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Experience in warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment center environments.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment training (e.g., forklifts, order pickers).
• Experience building structured onboarding and training programs.
• Knowledge of safety compliance, audits, and incident reporting processes.
• Strong coaching and associate development skills.
