Our client, a major Oil and gas company, is looking for a SAP Materials Management SME & Warehouse Product Owner to work on a 12 months contract with extension in Midland, TX
Job Summary
The SAP S/4HANA Materials Management & Warehouse Product Owner/SME serves as the business-facing technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting warehouse operations, maintenance organizations, and project teams in an asset-intensive oil & gas environment. This role requires strong hands-on knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM), Inventory Management (IM), and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), with demonstrated understanding of how these capabilities integrate with SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM/PM).
The Product Owner acts as the voice of the business to enterprise SAP deployment and support teams, ensuring SAP solutions align with operational realities, safety, and reliability expectations. The role includes significant onsite engagement (up to 50% travel, Monday–Thursday) to support process design, deployment, testing, and user adoption across field and warehouse locations.
