Maverick Currencies is hiring a Forex & Crypto Trader based in Newport News, VA. This is a remote, performance-based opportunity — we fund qualified US traders with up to $400,000 in firm capital and split profits 60% to 90% depending on performance tier.
Trading from Newport News has a structural advantage that's easy to underrate. Eastern time aligns you directly with the New York open and the London close, so the high-volume hours of the FX day land in your morning instead of fighting your evening. Virginia traders in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Richmond, and Arlington work Eastern time. Proximity to DC and the broader financial regulatory ecosystem gives Virginia traders unusual access to in-person finance industry networking.
This role pays through profit-share, not salary. You trade firm capital and keep 60% to 90% of the returns you generate, based on your performance tier. Consistently profitable traders typically realize $50,000 to $200,000+ annually. The trade-off is explicit: there is no salary floor. If you are not profitable, you do not earn — the upside is that profitable traders are not capped.
