Job descriptionProven experience as a diesel mechanic (3+ years preferred). Knowledge of heavy-duty truck systems and diesel engines. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. ASE or OEM certifications are a plus. Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Availability for on-call rotation schedule (nights and weekends as needed). Competitive hourly wage (based on experience). Health, dental, and vision insurance. Paid time off and holidays. About the Role :
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Baton Rouge. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment. If you take pride in your work and enjoy solving mechanical challenges, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities :
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks and heavy equipment.
- Execute road-side and / or onsite mobile service repair as needed. This may include evenings / weekends.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Work efficiently as a vital member of the team, ensuring completion of all tasks timely while fostering a positive attitude.
