ER RN Job Details – Asheville, North Carolina Location : Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC 28801 Healthcare Setting : Emergency Department (Level II Trauma Center) Job Type : Travel Nursing Assignment Start Date : October 20, 2025 End Date : January 19, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12 Hour Nights (6 : 45PM – 7 : 15AM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,530 - $1,640 per week Unit Size : 101 beds Patient Ratios : 4 : 1 (medical), up to 7 : 1 (ED behavioral holds) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting Preferred : Experience in Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume emergency department (100,000 annual visits) Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire Strong teamwork skills and flexibility to work in all areas of the ED Ability to coach peers and provide real-time feedback Commitment to respectful behavior and positive patient experience ER Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations Collaborate with healthcare techs, unit clerks, and multidisciplinary teams Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors; document patient care in Cerner EMR system Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed Maintain accurate patient boards and communicate effectively with patients and families Follow AIDET principles and hospital policies Wear required navy scrubs Participate in ongoing training and uphold Mission Hospital’s standards of nursing excellence Discover rewarding North Carolina nursing jobs and join Mission Hospital’s Emergency Department team in Asheville.
