Staff Accountant

We are looking for a versatile Staff Accountant who thrives on variety and accuracy in daily financial operations. In this role, you'll handle everything from daily sales reporting, customer invoicing, and payment processing to vendor invoice entry, check runs, and bank reconciliations. You'll play a key part in payroll, month-end close, and maintaining organized financial records, while also supporting the annual audit process. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing routine tasks with problem-solving, ensuring smooth financial workflows, and being a reliable resource for both colleagues and customers.

Overview of the Staff Accountant role :

• Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly order / sales reports.
• Enter vendor invoices accurately, obtain proper approvals, and assist with weekly check runs and mailing checks.
• Perform daily sales invoicing, credit card processing, and respond to related customer inquiries.
• Process customer credit notes and issue refunds via check or credit card.
• Research and resolve credit card capture issues.
• Reconcile bank accounts daily.
• Record customer payments, including wire transfers and bank deposits.
• Manage payroll functions, including timecard review / approval, payroll journal entries, and 401K contribution submissions.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts as part of the month-end close process.
• Maintain organized accounts payable and fixed asset files; create new payable files annually.
• Support annual financial audit by gathering AR, AP, and other required documentation.

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant role :

$65,000 - $75,000
