This position will be supporting the architecture lifecycle for a new Data Integration Services Platform. This includes discovering needs, analyzing requirements, supporting design pattern development and coordinating implementation for Data Services.

Responsibilities

Information Systems Architect:

• Perform research, execute proofs of concepts and initialize projects for data integration and enablement

• Facilitate sessions for business process modeling and capturing process/data flows

• Collaborate with data analyst to map and capture data in CDO inventory management system

• Plan and create recommendations for data integrations with business systems and aligning with the CDO roadmap

Data Services Architect:

• Act as product owner for the development of data services to enable data awareness, access and integration in conforming to the client’s business priorities and within the IT policies and guidelines

• Understand, capture, and document of business processes and associated data requirements prior-to and during application development activities

• Work closely with business units to understand their data, their use cases and user acceptance of the data services developed

• Work in agile project team with a matrixed delivery organization consisting of Client IT resources, the department’s resources, consulting resources and members of the Chief Data Office to deliver quality data services and resources

Transition Planning:

• Create, coordinate and facilitate the creation of end-user documentation, training material and demonstrations when appropriate.

• Refine and execute training and train the trainer in accordance to the CDO strategy.

Job Requirements

Technical Skills:

• Service Architecture Skills: SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, Micro Services, SOA, BPMN, Serverless, Development and DevOps, CI/CD

• Data Architecture Skills: Data warehousing, ETL/ELT, Data pipelines, SQL and NoSQL Databases, Data Lakes,

• Software Experience: API Management Platform (Apigee, MuleSoft, Swagger), ERP (SAP), CRM (Salesforce)

• Other Preferred Tech Skills:, Agile / Scrum, SQL, Scripting (Python), Programming (Java, Javascript, Go, Closure)

• Team Tools: Jira/Trello/Rally, Google Suite, MS Office Suite, MS Project, MS Visio

Soft Skills:

• Client relationship experience - Shows understanding, enthusiasm, courtesy, tact, empathy; develops and maintains relationships; deals with difficult people; relates well to people from varied backgrounds; is sensitive to individual needs.

• Strong communicator - Expresses information to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information.

• Could pass ad-hoc technical and whiteboard test given various either application design pattern challenges, root cause analysis, and demonstration of agile project patterns in patterns of large data visualization, application front-end design, and use case analysis scenarios.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)

• 10+ Years Related Skills Experience

• Prefer at least 5 years in role, expecting 5-8 years in similar role.

• Able to pass basic NACI, background, drug and reference checks.

• No Relocation Assistance; must be local.

• 20% Telework.
