This role will be the technical lead for our systems including electrical, hydraulic, PLC, and mechanical. They are responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of the facility, equipment, and product assets. This is a high impact role and will be a key player in ensuring we have efficient operations. This role is hands on and is critical in transforming our maintenance strategy from reactive to proactive. Key Responsibilities Technical Oversight & Maintenance Operations Lead the maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of production equipment and facility systems including automation, pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, conveyors, and power transmission components. Support all facilities maintenance - steam boilers, hydraulics, controls, motors, rollers, shafts, bearings, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. Improvements to a Preventative Maintenance (PM) program by designing, specifying, and implementing standardized processes and timelines for machine maintenance activities. Lead implementation of CMMS through our upcoming launch of new ERP. Lead capital improvement projects and equipment installs, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget. Manage external contractors for specialized repairs and inspection. Plan, schedule, and oversee preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment, facilities, and systems operate reliably and efficiently. Minimize machine downtime through effective troubleshooting and root-cause analysis. Provide feedback and recommendations for equipment modifications, upgrades, or replacements as needed. Leadership & Team Management Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians to ensure proper support for facility needs and production requirements Assign work activities, set priorities, and ensure adequate staffing coverage. Collaborate with operations leadership team in DDS meetings and cascade priorities Manage time and schedules including payroll, timekeeping, and time off. Safety & Compliance Ensure all safety concerns are promptly addressed and supported including near misses, maintenance requests, etc. Ensure all equipment meets applicable regulatory standards for safety and environmental regulations. Participate in risk assessments, safety reviews, FMEAs, hazard analyses, machine safeguarding, and LOTO process discussions and improvements. Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols, safety inspections, and maintenance best practices. Budget & Cost Control Manage maintenance budget and the purchasing of supplies/equipment to support the maintenance team. Coordinate with leadership to control maintenance spend within appropriate KPI metrics. Implement a process to manage inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and tools/equipment to control costs and business impacts. Identify cost saving opportunities without impacting operational efficiency or reliability. Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Coordination Implement and optimize processes to enhance preventative maintenance and machine reliability. Coordinate with Engineering to ensure proper design, safety guarding, and machine operation procedures are documented and utilized. Develop best practices, machine startup procedures, and implement periodic reviews of standard work activities to provide feedback to operators and leadership throughout the facility. Support lean systems and continuous improvement projects. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing maintenance, facility maintenance, or industrial maintenance. Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, including managing people, processes, and maintenance systems. Strong knowledge and experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, automated systems, and all aspects of facility management. Knowledge of industrial automation systems, PLCs, motion control, safety systems, robotics, vision systems, inspection automation, and advanced sensing. Ability to utilize lean tools and six sigma methodologies. Experience with high-volume or continuous manufacturing systems. #J-18808-Ljbffr
