We’re seeking a dedicated Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to champion safety and operational excellence. This role offers an opportunity to directly impact associate wellbeing while driving operational excellence. As a WHS Manager, you will be the site’s safety champion and lead the Global WHS Program implementation. You will combine hands‑on safety management with strategic thinking to protect our most valuable asset – our people. You will bridge the gap between safety requirements and operational success, working closely with Operations leadership to drive safety initiatives that make a real difference. Key responsibilities include: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, analyze safety data, and implement practical solutions that protect associates while supporting productivity. Lead safety compliance efforts, conduct thorough site audits, and analyze incident trends to target improvements. Manage the first‑aid program and emergency response capabilities. Transform safety data into actionable insights and engage associates in the safety mission. Build relationships and influence positive change, shaping our safety culture. Core impact areas: Safety Leadership & Innovation – transform safety culture through leadership and innovative solutions; drive continuous improvement initiatives and leverage technology and data analytics. Strategic Partnership & Influence – build partnerships with Operations leadership, use data analysis and risk insights to drive decision‑making, oversee record‑keeping, workplace organization, and WHS training programs. Additional job elements: Lifting up to 49 pounds and frequently pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching. Standing/walking for up to 12 hours during shifts. Working in environments with variable noise, temperatures, and weather conditions. Continuously climbing and descending stairs. Providing emergency care and assisting emergency response at the site. Must have adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or obtain within 3 weeks of start date. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience. 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations. 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience. Preferred Qualifications Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS experience with mix of exempt and non‑exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people. Master’s degree. Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment. Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic organization. Certified Safety Professional. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders. Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies. Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem‑solving ability. Base salary range: $70,100.00 - $105,200.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
