Bridge Engineer

HDR is seeking to hire a Bridge Engineer for the "Moving I-4 Forward" project in Celebration, Florida. This role involves supporting the Structures Program Manager in developing RFP documents, concept plans, and specifications for bridge and highway projects, including review of submittals and calculations. The project aims to improve transportation infrastructure in Central Florida, providing congestion relief and enhancing community mobility and safety.

Primary Responsibilities

• Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques.
• Work on bridge, box culvert, and interchange design projects for highway and railway infrastructure.
• Select standard design procedures, develop structural details using specialized software, and perform load calculations.
• Review and check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs.
• Perform other duties as needed.
