Assistant Professor in Physiology

Assistant Professor in Physiology Position Summary: The Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine, invites applications for two tenure‑track assistant professor positions. Candidates will establish a dynamic, externally funded research program and contribute significantly to the department’s teaching mission, especially in the Biomedical Physiology undergraduate major. Candidates will mentor graduate and undergraduate students as well as postdoctoral research associates and will teach undergraduate, graduate, or professional DVM courses. Minimum Qualifications: - Doctoral degree in Physiology or a related field. - Two years of postdoctoral experience in Physiology or a related field. - At least one year of teaching experience. - Publication record appropriate for a tenure‑track assistant professor rank. Preferred Qualifications: - Research program focused on cardiovascular, renal, respiratory, or gastrointestinal physiology with experience in computational biology or emerging AI technologies. - Commitment to teaching excellence and student engagement.
