Le'Fant is seeking a Senior FOIA Analyst to perform advanced FOIA processing functions with minimal oversight and provides subject matter guidance to the FOIA team. This role provides on-site supervision and conducts complex reviews, applies exemptions with expert-level accuracy, mentors junior and mid-level staff, and supports quality assurance efforts. The Senior FOIA Contractor ensures consistency, identifies potential risks or harm, and contributes to overall FOIA program effectiveness and compliance.

Expertise Required:

• Minimum of three (3) years of FOIA request processing within the last 48 months
• Expert application of FOIA exemptions, DOJ guidance, and FOIA legislation.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and guide staff to correct processing discrepancies.
• Ability to perform thorough reviews and identify potential harm to ensure accurate and compliant releases.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
• Serves as a role model by upholding VA values and promoting high standards of performance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of DOJ reporting requirements and proper submission procedures

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• All work must be performed within the United States.
• Must have the ability to pass the background investigation, criteria include but are not limited to:
• 1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
• 1-year check for illegal drug use
• 3-year check for felony convictions

Education: Bachelor's degree

• Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of successful FOIA request processing within the last 48 months
• Certifications/Training: FOIA-related training preferred [Additional FOIA experience may substitute for formal FOIA training or degree requirements]

Pay Transparency:

There are many factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. Annual salary is just one component of Le'fant's total compensation package. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
