The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Cadillac that are seeking EHS Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of preventative measures for all EHS-related incidents.
• Manage EHS training programs for all employees, covering topics such as hazard communication, emergency response, and machine guarding.
• Oversee hazardous waste management programs, including proper storage, labeling, and disposal.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on new equipment installations and process changes to integrate EHS requirements.
• Maintain and update all required EHS documentation and permits.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are highly desirable.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 implementation and maintenance.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.
• Proficiency in EHS software platforms for data management and reporting.
• Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience with an emphasis on EHS integration.
• Bilingual in Spanish or another language relevant to the local workforce.
