The Parts and Service Branch Manager is responsible for the efficient operation and management of all branch sales, rentals, and product support activities of the company's branch operation in addition to the strategic day to day operations in a manner that achieves branch objectives and that reflects the company's vision of working as "One Professional Team."
Pay Rate: $97,196.00 - $123,559.20 Annually. Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience. *Pay differentials for location and/or shift may apply*
Essential Functions
- Creates a strategy to develop and manage an effective product support, rental and walk-in sales organization
- Develops and manages all budget responsibilities to ensure financial results of the business
- Develops operational procedures congruent with established Wagner objectives by working with Wagner Equipment Co. and Wagner Rents management teams
- Manages Daniel Customer Loyalty survey results and creates a customer service culture that results in the highest customer satisfaction results
- Plans short and long-term requirements on equipment and facilities
- Seeks input from, and reaches across product and service lines to support the needs of customers
- Develops and maintains working relationships with customers, corporate managers and employees
- Develops product support, sales and rental strategies for all markets for Caterpillar earthmoving equipment, engines and allied lines
- Establishes sales and profit objectives and ensures objectives are met or exceeded
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of products
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Hires, trains, and directs a working staff sufficient to efficiently perform the functions of the branch operations
- Provides on-going performance feedback, and conducts timely special and annual performance reviews, making recommendations for status or salary adjustments
- Develops human resource procedures to comply with local legal requirements while developing a knowledgeable, productive staff
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Bachelors degree in a Business-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years experience in a heavy equipment/agriculture equipment dealership at a level of responsibility which includes management of sales, rental, and product support operations
- 5+ years administrative/clerical experience
- 5+ years customer service experience
- 3+ years sales experience
- 5+ years supervisory/management experience
Physical Demands & Competencies
- Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
- Squatting/Kneeling
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, etc.
- Medium work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 32 pounds or more
- Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills
- Safety & Product Knowledge
- Skilled in seeking input from and reaching an agreement with other key managers to determine ways to tailor services that seamlessly cross product and service lines that support the needs of our customers
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
- Intermediate knowledge of DBS and CRM/Sales Link
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Travel Requirements: 1-25%
